CITROEN USA DEALER SIGN OUTDOOR ILLUMINATED 2-SIDED, 8 FEET TALL, GENUINE !

Description

This is a genuine early 1970s Citroen outdoor dealership sign. Made for Citroen by Hagen Signs for all the Citroen dealers (Hagen made many dealership signs for most car brands).
It was prominently displayed by a Los Angeles-based Citroen dealer for many years before they closed in the 1980s. It is now installed, as shown, on the exterior of my shop in Sonora, CA. It is a full 8 feet tall, 2 feet wide, and about 14 inches front-to-back, and mounts to a wall with the two custom brackets on the ends.
The sign is illuminated by fluorescent bulbs inside; I rebuilt the interior wiring and replaced the ballast. The sign lights up brilliantly at night! When I bought the sign several years ago, it had a small scratch, a slight bulge that bows the sign edge slightly away from its slot, and a crack near its edge (see photos). These do not in any way detract from the impressiveness and beauty of the sign.
These signs look beautiful inside or outside; Jay Leno's Garage has the identical sign inside. They rarely come on the market and are prized by collectors for the rich yellow and blue colors, as well as the double-chevron Citroen logo.
Shipping: Ideally, the buyer will pick this sign up at my home in Sonora, CA, near Yosemite. If that's not possible, then buyer shall arrange for a shipper to pick up the crated sign at my home. See below for crating details (0 extra).
Alternatively, I will crate the sign in sturdy plywood  and pack it extremely well for 0 (That is the "Flat" cost in the listing; YOU will pay a shipper directly for the freight charges from my home to yours!).
